Canine behavioural assessments take place at the dog's home and around their neighbourhood with the owner(s) present to ensure a genuine evaluation. Assessments are for dogs that display pathological behaviour (aggression, reactivity, anxiety, fear, etc). Some cases may require assessing off-site with or without the owner(s) present.

Dogs have distinct personalities and different needs regardless of the breed. They require individual training approaches. I work with all breeds & behaviours and specialize working with German Shepherds. My training is customized for each unique dog, their owners and environment. I travel to you and provide unmatched service. You also have the option to train in Manotick. It's important to note that I do not utilize e-collars, clickers or food to train or rehabilitate dogs.

I work with dogs because I love it! They are magnificent creatures and true friends. I couldn't envision my life without them. I have been working professionally with canines since 2010. Running my own business for several years now has been an incredible journey. I dedicated 5 years combined volunteer work at The Ottawa Humane Society and local dog rescues and will continue to donate my time for animals. I've fostered several dogs, cats and small critters. I hold a wealth of knowledge and experience having worked with many dogs and people from all walks of life. I specialize in canine psychology & nutrition and thoroughly enjoy teaching people about canine behaviour, diet & wellness. My dream to create a small naturally reared breeding program of working line German Shepherds will come true after years of careful thought, studying and observations. One day I will also have a rescue & rehabilitation sanctuary for all German Shepherds. This will take place on my beautiful acreage in Nova Scotia.
I am an avid volunteer in my community and have proudly contributed to CHEO, Good Dog Rescue, Ottawa Humane Society, Canadian Parks And Wilderness Society (CPAWS), The Canadian Cancer Society, The Ottawa Food Bank, The City of Ottawa, Rideau Valley Conservation Authority, Ottawa Riverfest, Winterlude, Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival, The Elizabeth Fry Society, Correctional Service Canada, H.O.P.E. Volleyball, OCDC, Watson's Mill, The Salvation Army, National Capital Commission, Ottawa Bluesfest, etc.
I earned my psychology and law degree as well as a couple of college diplomas. I have trained rigorously, taken hundreds of canine classes, workshops, summits, seminars, lectures, masterclasses, webinars, courses and continue my education daily. More importantly, I have fulfilled countless hours working hands-on in the real world with a variety of breeds and behaviours. I hold multiple certifications, have my pet first aid, acute canine homeopathy emergency course, outstanding references, police check and federal government security clearance.
CAT CARE
All felines must be healthy, arrive in secure carriers and have enough food provided for the duration of their stay. I utilize a premium litter for all guests. The litter fee will be added to the invoice. Litter boxes and dishes are provided. I cannot accommodate outdoor or aggressive cats. Please contact me if your cat requires medication or has special needs.

Dog walking: Payment is due weekly and can be made via e-Transfer or cash.
Training: Payment is due upon booking of session(s) or packages and can be made via e-Transfer or cash.

Consultations: Payment is due upon booking and can be made via e-Transfer.
Board & Train: 50% deposit is required once the board & train is booked. The remaining 50% is due on the day of drop off. Deposit is non-refundable. If for any reason the B&T has to be cut short, then it can be completed at a later time (within 3 months of original booking date) or the balance will be forfeited. Payment can be made via e-Transfer, cash or PayPal.
Nutrition & Wellness Plans: Payment is due in advance and can be made via e-Transfer.
Boarding: Payment is due in full by e-Transfer or cash on the day of drop off.
CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full service fee.
TRAINING, ASSESSMENTS & CONSULTATIONS
Rescheduling with less than 48 hours notice will be charged a $50 fee. A 30% charge will be applied to all cancellations.

Girls just want to have fun! My little queen Chayley is a firecracker! She can go from 0-60 in 2 seconds. She is the definition of versatility. She's a stunning petite black sable German Shepherd with a nice combination of Czech, DDR and West German Lines. She is colourful in appearance and personality. She has a very high energy level with an extreme drive. Her focus, ball drive and recall is exceptional. She has a very high prey drive, play drive, excels at tracking, obedience and agility. She loves to swim and loves bite work. She has a solid off switch making her such an easy dog to live with while still having the perfect amount of guard duties. Her protection work and border patrol is truly incredible. Chayl has strong nerves. She's intense, confident, eager, motivated, intelligent, affectionate, intuitive and super playful. She is a fun dog. Chayl lives for ball time and car rides. She loves her daily walks with Pterodactyl, treadmill workouts, playing on the zip line, patrolling the property and of course playing ball. She also loves her trips out east. This daredevil is always up for anything.

My black beauty Pterodactyl is a born leader, a fire sign and what I call a triple calibre Working Line German Shepherd. Ptero has strong nerves. He is a total black male from Czech, DDR and West German Working Lines with a very high drive to work. He's by far the most beautiful dog I've ever seen. He has a powerful presence, would love to rule the world and he's a dog that you don't want to mess with. He is phenomenal. Pterodactyl is a natural protection dog. He's not welcoming of strangers but is well-behaved being out in high traffic areas. He loves solid dogs. He is a confident, dominant, protective, intense, territorial and very challenging male. He's sweet and affectionate with the ones he loves. Pterodactyl is fearless. He excels at bite work, tracking, protection and obedience. He also enjoys agility and swimming. His favourite word is play. His border patrol duties are exceptional. He has a high energy level and is always up for fun adventures and different challenges. He is the most amazing, loyal, protective, brilliant and handsome boy. Pterodactyl is happiest playing ball. He is my favourite creature on the planet. I cherish him.

Boston was a beautiful black and tan German Shepherd male weighing in at 130 lbs! I adopted him from The Ottawa Humane Society in May of 2016 at age 5. Boston was quite sick when I met him but I was still hoping to have him for many years. Sadly, he passed away 11 months later from liver disease which left me absolutely crushed but also sent me on a mission to keep canines natural. I am so thankful that I got him out of that shelter and gave him the best year of his life. He passed knowing he was loved immensely, compassionately cared for and treated with respect. We had a lot of fun together and he taught me valuable lessons. He was a calm boy and sweet with people however Boston had dangerous dog aggression issues which led to him being surrendered to OHS. He made tremendous progress with me in the short time we had together. I miss him every day. Boston was strong, courageous, considerate, loyal, protective and such a joy to spend time with. He enjoyed his three daily walks, playing ball, visiting friends, car rides and swim time. Boston loved children. He was such a special friend and I miss him very much.

Bailey was the greatest gift of my life. He was 11 months old when my dad found him for me in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia. I was 16 years old and wanted either a German Shepherd or a Rottweiler. I ended up with the two breeds in one. Bailey completely changed my life. I grew up having many dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, reptiles and tons of other pets but Bailey was the most precious of all. He was by far the best dog to ever walk this earth. He was that perfect dog that everyone dreams of having. He had such a wonderful life. Bailey was majestic! He lived to be 15 years old. He loved people and other animals, especially my orange-winged Amazon parrot Topaz. He was amazing with children and babies. He was smart, loyal, strong, adventurous and gentle. He was my very best friend. I think about him and miss him each day. I wish I could have him back. We had so much fun together. His favourite activities were swimming and running through our forest out east. He loved The Atlantic Ocean!

Penguin aka The Penguinator was a beautiful and intelligent European Doberman. He was a big boy weighing in at 120 lbs. He was a superior guard/protection dog who did his job well. He was very fond of my young niece Jayda. She was his favourite little human. Penguin was sweet with his family and anyone who took the time to learn his style. He liked being groomed, cuddled, walked and taken for car rides. He loved his feline Pucci and his canine best friend Blackjack. They were inseparable. Penguin also loved playing and walking with Pterodactyl, baby Chayl and of course Bailey boy. Penguin enjoyed his countless trips out East where he could run for miles in the deep woods of Nova Scotia. He is greatly missed.
